Installation and electrical connection KNX automatic switch 1.1 m

  1. Ensure that the mounting location is free of vibration.
  2. For optimum range, choose a mounting location tangential to the movement direction (you can find a detailed range description in the operating instructions for KNX automatic switches reference number .. 3181 .. and .. 3181-1 ..).
  3. Avoid sources of interference in the detection range.
  4. Properly connect the bus coupling unit 3 (1).
  5. Fit the cover (3) with frame (2) onto the bus coupling unit 3 (1).
  6. You can reduce the detection range using a push-on cover. By using additional KNX automatic switches with bus coupling unit 3, you can extend the detection range.
  7. The device is programmed with the help of KNX-certified software.
  8. Carefully remove the cover from the slide switch (5).
  9. Press the programming button (8). The red LED in the lens (4) lights up.
  10. Allocate the physical address using the programming software. The red LED goes out.
  11. Label the device with the physical address.
  12. Load the application program onto the device.
  13. If needed, you can correct the detection sensitivity with the SENS adjuster (6).
  14. On the slide switch (5), manual control (continuous ON or continuous OFF) is possible.
  15. If needed, the slide switch can be locked mechanically in the AUTO position. To do so, slide the slide switch into the AUTO position. Screw the locking screw (10) into the hole (9) in the slide switch.
  16. Carefully replace the centre plate.
  17. The KNX automatic switch can additionally be controlled with an IR remote control available as an accessory. You can find the exact description in the operating instructions for KNX automatic switch reference number .. 3181 .. and .. 3181-1 .. .
