JUNG HOME cover settings
Parameters | Setting choices, factory setting | Explanations |
|---|---|---|
Rocker, button Rocker factory setting | Rocker: operation of the button at the top or bottom applies to the same load, the same area or the same disabling function. As a rule, operations at the top or bottom lead to directly opposite reactions (e.g. light on/off, lighter/darker, move up/move down). Button: the operation of the button at the top or bottom acts on different loads, areas or scenes. When controlling loads or areas, the renewed operation on the same point leads to opposite reactions (e.g. light on/off, lighter/darker, move up/stop/move down). | |
Behaviour of the status LED when switched on, moving or as orientation LED | Colour selection Factory setting: green (orange for button operating concept) | LED colour and brightness**, when the load is switched on, blind/shutter/awning moves or the LED is being used as an orientation LED in the button operating concept. |
Behaviour of the status LED when switched off or stationary | Colour selection Factory setting: orange | LED colour and brightness** when load is switched off or the blind/shutter/awning is stationary. |
Synchronise colours (only 2-gang push-buttons) | Off, on Factory setting: on | If this parameter is set to off, the LED colours for the left and right rockers can be set separately. If the parameter is set to on, the colour setting for both rockers is the same. |
Off, on Factory setting: off | In night mode, the status LED does not light continuously, but only for a max. of 5 seconds after a button operation. | |
No lock, lock Factory reset, operating lock Factory setting: no lock | Lock factory reset: prevents resetting at the device and thus removal from the project and recoupling by unauthorised persons. After mains voltage return, the lock for the factory reset remains inactive for 2 minutes. Operating lock: prevents normal operation at the device and thus control of the load. This lock can be used, for example, to temporarily limit manual access. Operation using the app is still possible. The operating lock cannot be deactivated at the device. |
Settings for automatic functions
Parameters | Setting choices, factory setting | Explanations |
|---|---|---|
Load state, time and days of the week | Depending on the system insert, the load state can be changed at specified times (days of the week and time). | |
Off, sunrise or sunset Factory setting: off | The astro timer provides the sunrise and sunset times in the course of a calendar year. Depending on the location, load states can be changed with the position of the sun, for example so that exterior lighting can be switched on at sunset and switched off again at sunrise. | |
0 (off) ... 120 minutes before or after sunrise and sunset Factory setting: off | Astro times reflect the sunrise and sunset times in the course of a calendar year. If there is a need to run the time program in the morning before dawn or only when it is completely bright, this can be implemented using the "sunrise" shift. If there is a need to run the time program in the evening before twilight or only when it is completely dark, this can be implemented using the "sunset" shift. Shifts the time the load is triggered by the set value. | |
Off, earliest time, latest time Factory setting: off | To restrict the time period of an astro timer to an earliest and/or latest running time. In this way, for example, the garden lighting can be switched off at 21:00 at the latest, even if sunset is not until 22:00. | |
Geographical location | The astro timer in the JUNG HOME devices requires the geographical location of the project for the calculation of the sunrise and sunset times. The calculation of the astro timer for the localised location is carried out once a week. |
Additional settings for switch inserts
Parameters | Setting choices, factory setting | Explanations |
|---|---|---|
0 s (off) ... 240 min Factory setting: off | Switches on the load after a switch-on command delayed by this value. Repeated switch-on commands during an existing delay do not restart the delay time. If the load has not yet been switched on due to the delay, when a switch-off command comes, the load remains off. | |
0 s (off) ... 240 min Factory setting: off | Switches off the load after a switch-off command with a delay of this value. A switch-off command during an existing delay switches off the load immediately. If the load has not yet been switched off due to the delay when a switch-on command comes, then the load will remain on. | |
Off, on Factory setting: off | If there is an active switch-off warning, the light is not switched off immediately after expiry of the run-on time (load). Blinking three times with a spacing of 10 seconds indicates that the light is about to be switched off. The run-on time is extended by approx. 30 seconds as a result. If a movement is detected by a linked JUNG HOME sensor cover during the switch-off warning, or it is switched on again with the operation of a satellite unit or linked JUNG HOME operating cover, the run-on time is restarted and the light stays on. | |
0 s (off) ... 240 min Factory setting: off | Ensures that the load does not permanently remain switched on after a switch-on command but is switched off after expiry of the run-on time. If a movement is detected by a linked JUNG HOME sensor cover during the run-on time, or it is switched on again with the operation of a satellite unit or linked JUNG HOME operating cover, the run-on time is restarted and the light stays on. Early switching off of the load during an active run-on time is only possible if the "Manual switching off during run-on time" parameter is set to "On" or if a disabling function (continuous off) is started. | |
Off, on Factory setting: on | If this parameter is set to "on" during an active run-on time (load), it is possible to manually switch off the load. With an automatic stairway lighting controlled by JUNG HOME operating and/or sensor covers, this parameter should be set to "off" so that the light cannot be switched off by a second person. | |
Invert switching output | Off, on Factory setting: off | Inverts the switching output from 1-way NO contact function (on = switching output closed) to 1-way NC contact function (on = switching output open). This parameter only inverts the behaviour of the load output. Neither the switching commands from JUNG HOME operating or sensor covers nor the representation in the app are taken into account. |
100 ms ... 10 s Factory setting: 100 ms | Limits the switching speed of the device by increasing the value, in order to protect the connected load, for example. Only when the set time has elapsed is switching possible again. The last command during the blocking time is executed after a delay. The switching repeat time starts after each switching operation. | |
Switched off, switched on, previous state Factory setting: off | Behaviour of the load output after mains voltage return. Note: do not use the "Switched on" setting in combination with electrical loads that can lead to physical danger or to property damage. | |
Deactivated, continuous ON, continuous OFF, ON/OFF for fixed time Factory setting: deactivated | The disabling function switches the load output to the desired state and locks it against control by the movement sensor, satellite unit operation, time programs and wireless control by the app and other JUNG HOME devices. The lock applies for an adjustable time or until the disabling function is deactivated |

The light is initially dimmed to minimum brightness within 30 seconds. The run-on time is extended by approx. 30 seconds as a result. If a movement is detected by a linked JUNG HOME sensor cover during the switch-off warning, or it is switched on again with the operation of a satellite unit or linked JUNG HOME operating cover, the run-on time is restarted and the light switches back to the switch-on brightness. | |
Dimming range (min-max) | 0 ... 100% Factory setting: 5 ...100% | Specifies the dimming range. The minimum dimming value is mainly dependent on the lamp used and should be determined by testing. |
Switch-on brightness | 5 ... 100% or last value Factory setting: 100% | By entering a value, the light is switched on at this brightness with a switch-on command. Last value, the light is switched on at the brightness that was last set. |
Colour temperature range (min-max) (only with DALI insert) | 2000 ... 10000 K Factory setting: 2,700 K ... 6,500 K | Specifies the adjustable colour temperature range. The minimum and maximum values depend on the colour temperature range of the lamp used and can be found from its data sheet or by trial and error. |
Switch-on colour temperature (only with DALI insert) | 2000 ... 10000 K Factory setting: 2700 K | If a value is entered, the light will be switched on at this colour temperature by a switch-on command. Last value: the light will be switched on to the last set colour temperature. |
Warm dimming (only with DALI insert) | Off, on Factory setting: off | If the function is active, the colour temperature will be changed according to a saved characteristic curve when dimming. When turning up the brightness, the colour temperature is increased towards cold white, and when reducing the brightness it is reduced towards warm white. |
Hotel function** | Off, on Factory setting: off | This convenience function prevents it, for example in hotel corridors, becoming completely dark after the run-on time has expired or the light is manually switched off. When the function is active, it is switched between two brightness values rather than between ON/OFF. When switching on, the light uses the switch-on brightness, and when switching off it uses the brightness in the hotel function. |
Brightness hotel function** | 5 ... 100% Factory setting: 20% | Specifies the reduced brightness that the light is switched to with the hotel function activated after the run-on time has expired or the light is manually switched off. The entry in percent refers to the maximum brightness of the dimming range. |
Night light function** | Off, on Factory setting: off | This convenience function, which can be used with a time program, can ensure that the lighting in a hallway or bathroom switches on at night with a low brightness to prevent unpleasant dazzling. With the function activated, the light is not switched on with a switch-on command to the switch-on brightness, but to the set brightness in the night light function. |
Night light function brightness** | 5 ... 100% Factory setting: 20% | Specifies the reduced switch-on brightness at which the light is switched on with the night function active. The entry in percent refers to the maximum brightness of the dimming range. |
Switched off, switched on, previous state, set value Factory setting: switched off | Behaviour of the load output after mains voltage return. | |
The lock applies for an adjustable time or until the disabling function is deactivated.

Additional settings for blinds inserts
Parameters | Setting choices, factory setting | Explanations |
|---|---|---|
operating mode | Shutter Factory setting: shutter | Shutter: a shutter or awning is actuated for which the fabric-stretching function is not required. Blind: a blind is actuated. Awning: an awning is actuated for which the fabric-stretching function is required. |
Running time | 1 s ... 10 min Factory setting: 2 min | Absolute time that the blind, shutter or awning requires from the fully closed to fully open end position. The information is necessary to be able to indicate the current position of the blind, shutter or awning and to execute precise positional movements. Therefore, this entry is carried out in the app directly after the JUNG HOME button has been added to a project - but it can be corrected later. |
Slat change-over time | 300 ms … 10 s Factory settings: 2 s | Absolute time for the reversal of blind slats. |
Fabric-stretching time (awning) | 0 ms … 10 s Factory setting: 300 ms | A fabric-stretching time for the operation of awnings can be set here. |
Inverse operation | Off, on Factory setting: off | Inverts the activation of the switching outputs. During inverted operation, the switching outputs "Up" and "Down" are activated in reverse. This is needed for controlling skylights or can help if a blind/shutter/awning has a reversed running direction. This parameter only reverses the behaviour of the load outputs but not the operation of the JUNG HOME push-button or the display of the running direction in the app. |
Ventilation position and slat position | Ventilation position: 0 … 100% Slat position: 0 … 100% Factory setting: 100% | The shutter or blind stops in this position when moving down. A subsequent command to move down continues the movement to 100%. In the "blind" operating mode, in addition, the slats are also set to the entered value. Note: 0% in JUNG HOME corresponds to "0% closed", the "upper position", or a fully withdrawn blind/awning/roller shutter. 100% in JUNG HOME corresponds to "100% closed", the "lower position", or a fully extended blind/awning/roller shutter. |
300 ms ... 10 s Factory settings: 1 s | Minimum pause time for a direction change. The motors can be protected by increasing the minimum reversal time. | |
Move up, move down, saved position, no change Factory settings: no change | Behaviour of the blind, shutter or awning when mains voltage returns after a power failure. | |
Position after mains voltage return | 0 ... 100% | Position of the blind, shutter or awning after mains voltage return. Note: only applies if "saved position" has been selected for "Behaviour after mains voltage return". Note: 0% in JUNG HOME corresponds to "0% closed", the "upper position", or a fully withdrawn blind/awning/roller shutter. 100% in JUNG HOME corresponds to "100% closed", the "lower position", or a fully extended blind/awning/roller shutter. |
Slat position after mains voltage return | 0 ... 100% | Slat position after mains voltage return. Note: only applies if "saved position" has been selected for "Behaviour after mains voltage return". |
Disabling function (forced guidance, lock-out protection, wind alarm) | Deactivate, lock-out protection, Forced guidance, wind alarm Duration: permanent or fixed time Factory setting: deactivated | Depending on the disabling function, when activated, the blind, the shutter or the awning is locked at the current position or first moved to a specified position. An active disabling function prevents the operation of satellite units, time programs and wireless operation via the app and other JUNG HOME devices. The lock applies for an adjustable time or until the disabling function is deactivated. Lock-out protection: remains in the current position Forced guidance: moves to an adjustable position 0% ... 100% Wind alarm: moves to an adjustable position 0% |
