Parameters and functions of the heating regulation
Change parameters for control
During initial commissioning, various configurations are made to adapt the temperature control to local conditions. The configurations can be changed as follows:
- Tap and hold the Menu and Reset buttons for longer than ten seconds.
A countdown appears in the display that counts down from 9 to 0. Once the countdown has reached 0,SET,YESorNOis shown on the display. - Now confirm or change the displayed parameters one after the other by tapping the OK button or the Plus or Minus button.
Optimised heating up
Heating is started a maximum of 4 hours before the switching time so that when the switching time is reached the desired temperature has been reached and it does not simply start to heat. The OPT symbol in the display flashes during the heating phase.
Note
The heating optimisation is designed for space heaters / radiators.
Activate automatic / manual operation
You can switch between automatic and manual operation by pressing the Auto button. If all time switch blocks are deactivated, the attachment automatically switches to manual operation. Automatic operation can no longer be activated. During automatic operation, AUTO is shown on the display. In manual operation, MANU is shown on the display.
Configuring the operating lock
Activating the operating lock
An active operating lock prevents operation directly at the attachment. The operating lock on the attachment can be activated as follows:
- Tap the menu button.
LOCKis shown on the display. - Tap the OK button.
NOflashes on the display. - Change the display by tapping the plus or minus button until
YES. - Confirm entry with the OK button.
The operating lock is active and theLOCKsymbol is shown on the display.
Deactivating the operating lock
The operating lock on the cover can be deactivated as follows:
- Tap the menu button.
LOCKis shown on the display. - Tap on the OK button.
YESflashes on the display. - Change the display by tapping on the plus or minus button until
NO. - Confirm the entry with the OK button.
The operating lock is switched off.
Operating mode heating and cooling
Modern heat pump heating systems often also enable rooms to be cooled. The room thermostat display supports this function with the operating mode "Heating and cooling".
In this operating mode, during active cooling, the system permanently regulates down to the set cooling temperature. There are no timer programs when cooling. A change of the cooling temperature is only possible via the temperature parameter and not by using the +/- buttons.
In combination with a room thermostat insert, by applying mains voltage to the input terminal C, cooling is activated. With switch inserts, cooling is activated by applying mains voltage to satellite input 1. The heat pump usually has a corresponding output or an installation switch can be used.
Frost protection and temperature drop detection
The frost protection temperature is the minimum temperature that is regulated to prevent frost damage. When there is a large reduction of temperature, e.g. after a window is opened, the system switches to the frost protection temperature for a maximum of 30 minutes. The temperature drop detection parameter must be activated for this.
Offset
If it is established that the displayed actual temperature deviates from the general room temperature, a correction value can be entered in steps of 0.5 °C using this parameter. The actual temperature is then corrected by this offset value.
Display setpoint and actual temperature or current time
After commissioning, the device shows the setpoint temperature and switches off the display after 2 minutes without operation. Alternatively, you can select the display of the actual temperature or the current time. The display can also remain switched on permanently. To change the display, proceed as follows:
- Tap and hold the OK and Auto buttons for longer than 10 seconds.
A countdown runs on the display. If the countdown has reached 0, the actual temperature is shown on the display. - Repeat step 1 so that the current time is shown on the display.
- Repeat step 1 again so that the setpoint temperature is shown on the display.
Tap and hold the OK and Return buttons for longer than 10 seconds to switch on the display permanently. Repeating this step will cause the display to switch off after 2 minutes.
Change temperature parameters
The temperature values for comfort and ECO temperature can be configured as follows:
- Tap the Menu button.
- Select TEMP.
- Confirm the selection with the OK button.
The setpoint value for the comfort temperature flashes on the display - Tap the Plus or Minus button to change the setpoint value.
- Tap the OK button to confirm your input.
In the same way, you also configure the values for the ECO temperature and, if configured, the cooling temperature. - Activate or deactivate the heating optimisation and temperature drop detection.
- Finally, configure the offset value by tapping the plus or minus button.
Note
The device starts with the saved setpoint values after values have been changed.
Valve adjustment
With this parameter, an adjustment to the electrothermal valve drives in use is undertaken. There are motors that are open with no supply voltage (normally open, setting NO) or closed (normally closed, setting NC).
