Tips for the planning of dimmers for LED lamps
Selecting lamps |
|---|
Ensure that the LED lamps are dimmable. |
Preferably only install lamps of the same manufacturer and from the same batch (same date of manufacture) in a system. |
Take account of installation position |
|---|
Plan for the maximum nominal power of the dimmers to be reduced depending on the planned installation position and the expected ambient temperature. |
Configure the operating mode |
|---|
Leave the operating mode initially configured on "Universal" and test the system. If there are problems: configure and test the LED-trailing edge phase control operating mode. If there are still problems: configure and test LED-leading edge phase control operating mode. |
For the highest possible connected load: select LED trailing edge phase control. For the largest possible dimming range: select LED leading edge phase control. |
For complex installations |
|---|
The dimming of larger (LED) loads can be realised with power boosters (for rail mounting). |
Check whether a DALI system represents a viable alternative. |
