Connection to a JUNG Smart Visu Server

For an even greater functional range, the JUNG HOME gateway can be connected with the Smart Visu Server from JUNG.

The connection between devices is made over the local network and thus offers high reliability. Commissioning and the basic function of the JUNG HOME devices is undertaken with the JUNG HOME app before establishing the connection.

After connecting the JUNG HOME Gateway to the Smart Visu Server, all JUNG HOME devices can be controlled using the Smart Visu Server app. The following benefits arise as a result:

• Remote access to all devices (remote access licence for the Smart Visu Server required)
• Central time control: an automation can control a large number of devices. This can be implemented quickly and easily in the Smart Visu Server with one individual action. This action can be triggered by a switching time, an astro function or event-dependent.
• User management: the rights of individual users can be set separately. From users with full access to all functions to guest users who can only operate selected devices.
• Connections to IoT systems: using the Smart Visu Server, the JUNG HOME devices can be used, for example, to control a luminaire from Philips Hue or to play a playlist with SONOS or SONORO

Alongside the above advantages for JUNG HOME customers, KNX customers can extend their systems with a JUNG HOME Gateway and JUNG HOME devices.

The JUNG HOME SCHUKO® socket (Energy), a battery-operated JUNG HOME push-button or the JUNG HOME mini actuators in particular offer a fast and simple solution for extending the functional range of KNX systems. The products do not require separate KNX cables, but are simply put into operation by connecting to the 230 V installation in the building.

Even complete rooms where no KNX cables have been laid can be equipped with JUNG HOME devices. These can be operated as usual with the Smart Visu Server app without any noticeable difference between KNX devices and JUNG HOME devices.
