Demands on motors for shading control

The motors used must be fitted with a limit switch (mechanical or electronic) that makes them voltage-free in the end position to protect the blinds or shutters. The shading motor is only powered as long as the programmed running time (from 100 % closed to 0 % open). As a result, power is only supplied during the running time of the motor.

The blinds inserts switch motors up to 700 W. Also observe this value for the control of multiple motors.

Also note the maximum duty cycle (often referred to as “DC” in technical texts). It can happen due to frequent moving that the motors heat up too strongly so that they are switched off via an integrated thermal switch in the motor and do not function again until they have cooled down.

Depending on the design of the motor, the cooling down can take up to 30 minutes. If you want to switch the motors in parallel, the motors must be suitable for this. Alternatively, you can use decoupling relays (ref.-no.: TR-S, TR-SUP or TR-SREG).
